Ayurveda 101

An introduction to Ayurveda supporting Women’s health and longevity.

Ayurveda is known as the ‘science of life’. Together we will explore the Mahabhutas, the five elements: air, ether, fire, water, earth, and the three Gunas ,Rajas Tamas and Sattva, and how they make up the three Doshas, Vata, Pitta and Kapha. A combination of these doshas create our Prakruti, or innate constitution.

This workshop will shine a light on these intelligent forces and how they affect us during our menstrual/moon cycles and phases of life. We will look at the ways in which our environment, lifestyle, foods and seasonal changes have an impact on our mind, body and soul, and how we can bring better balance and good health back into ourselves.

The senses are superior to matter, mind is higher than the senses, and higher than the mind is intelligence, but the Soul is higher still.’ Bhagavad Gita, Ch 3 v 42.

This ‘tripod theory’ of healing, gifts us with an holistic approach to overall great health in any phase of a Woman’s life.

This first workshop consists of an overview of the Ayurvedic system, how it affects and aid’s Women’s lives, understanding our own unique constitution, how to create a daily routine, known as a Dinacharya, sharing thoughts and experiences.

Duration of this workshop is three hours.

A follow on to Ayurveda 101

Supporting Women’s health and longevity.

Ayurveda is known as the ‘science of life’. Together we will briefly review the Mahabhutas, the five elements: air, ether, fire, water, earth, and the three Gunas ,Rajas Tamas and Sattva, and how they make up the three Doshas, Vata, Pitta and Kapha. A combination of these doshas create our Prakruti, or innate constitution.

This second workshop will practically look at the therapeutic aspects of Ayurveda including, Ayurvedic massage and the marma points, supplements and herbs to bring about balance, longevity and good health.

Gifting you with a toolbox of techniques that you can bring into your everyday life to promote health and wellbeing.

Duration of this workshop is three hours.

WOMEN’S CIRCLES

A safe and supportive space for Women to come together, to reduce the stress and strains in their lives and to be seen and heard. Giving all Women a voice and reminding us that we are not alone but part of a loving and welcoming community.

Within the circle we hold space for ourselves and our fellow sisters, and encourage one another to share stories, and acknowledge our lived experiences as Women in society.

Menopause Yoga Workshop

Focus upon the Perimenopause & Hot Flushes

This workshop looks at the perimenopause and the symptoms we may experience during this phase. Through sharing our own unique experiences, and openly listening in our Women’s Circles, we offer support without being judged.

We will look at what is happening for us on a biological level, an unfolding level naturally and how we can support ourselves holistically.

Including information on nutrition, supplements, complementary therapies and a Yoga sequence to cool heat in the mind and body.

There will be light refreshments available.

Duration of the workshop is three hours.

Including information on nutrition, supplements, complementary therapies and a Yoga sequence to release tension and irritability.
